- PGT Trucking opened two new terminals, growing its presence in southeastern U.S., the company announced last month.
- New facilities in Ghent, Kentucky, and Spartanburg, South Carolina, grow the company’s terminal count to 32, a company spokesperson said in an email to Trucking Dive.
- The Kentucky site will help the company improve and increase service to some of its steel and building materials customers located nearby, COO Chad Marsilio said in a statement. The South Carolina facility will position the company to pursue ocean cargo coming in through the state’s ports.

PGT Trucking has been expanding its operations in recent months through opening new terminals and executive hires.
In addition to the Kentucky and South Carolina facilities, the specialty flatbed and dedicated carrier expects to open its Laredo, Texas terminal later this year, a company spokesperson told Trucking Dive.
The carrier’s Laredo site supports the company’s plan to grow its Southwest presence as well as capture market share of freight traffic fueled by nearshoring efforts in Mexico.
The company also announced the appointments of Mark Mageary, VP of maintenance, and Tom Cook, VP of recruiting, to bolster its executive roster and support future growth.
Mageary will oversee the company’s maintenance programs and assets. Cook will support company development and driver recruitment.
