CRST named former COO Mike Gannon to the role of president and CEO last week.
The privately held transportation and logistics provider promoted him following a recent announcement by former CEO Hugh Eckberg that he was retiring to pursue outside interests and spend more time with family, a news release said.
Gannon has worked with the company for over four decades, serving in roles from president of CRST Malone and CRST Expedited and group president of the company’s fixed-asset division.
As COO, he oversaw expedited and dedicated business as well as Pegasus Trucking and Gardner Trucking, the company previously noted.
Gannon obtained a bachelor’s in transportation logistics from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of Iowa, a company bio says.
Gannon said in the news release that the company is committed to the success of every employee, customer and community the business operates in and is also driven by safety and integrity.
