More than three dozen companies and individuals in the trucking industry pledged a combined $3.7 million to the Trucking Cares Foundation, the American Trucking Associations announced last month.
The 37 inaugural members of the TCF Founders Club — including bankrupt Yellow Corp. — have each committed $100,000 to the trucking industry foundation over the next decade.
The Trucking Cares Foundation donated more than $130,000 to disaster response, drug abuse awareness, anti-human trafficking advocacy, low-income drivers education and employment training causes in 2023, according to ATA.
TCF Chairman Phil Byrd, president and CEO of Bulldog Hiway Express, called the Founders Club members “true heroes” in a statement.
“Their servant attitude and spirit are on display every day on every highway and byway in America as they deliver the needs and wants to every corner of this great land,” he said.
