Old Dominion Freight Line will promote Clayton Brinker, director of financial reporting and accounting, to succeed retiring VP of Finance and Accounting Kim Maready, the carrier announced last week.
Brinker will become the company’s principal accounting officer upon Maready’s retirement, effective Aug. 2, the filing said.
Maready has agreed to stay with the carrier until then to assist with the transition.
Before joining Old Dominion in 2016, Brinker served as corporate controller for Solar Materials at SunEdison for about a year.
From August 2008 until January 2015, he worked as manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
While Adam Satterfield remains Old Dominion’s longtime CFO, Brinker’s promotion adds another fresh face to a wave of finance leadership among large LTL carriers. Saia, XPO and Forward Air have all navigated CFO turnover in the past year.
