Love’s Travel Stops recently opened a new store in Winslow, Arizona, off of Interstate 40, according to a June 26 press release.
The travel stop — the company’s 16th in the Grand Canyon State — has 81 truck parking spaces. Additionally, drivers will have access to nine diesel bays, six showers, laundry facilities and a CAT scale.
The Northeast Arizona site offers a Love’s Fresh Kitchen concept as well as an Arby’s and Dunkin’, employing 100 people in the town immortalized in the Eagle’s “Take It Easy.” Love’s latest location also offers amenities for RV travelers, such as designated parking spaces and five RV hookups.
Love’s has been in growth mode, opening nine new stores in 2025 alone across Virginia, Louisiana, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, Nevada and Arizona. Through its Strategic Remodel Initiative, the company has also renovated seven stores this year that now offer expanded restrooms, upgraded showers, improved laundry facilities and Love’s Fresh Kitchen options.
Love’s, based in Oklahoma City, is one of several businesses that are working to address the nationwide shortage of safe parking spaces for truck drivers. By the end of 2025, the company expects to add 1,000 new truck parking spaces, bringing its network past 50,000 spots.
With its recent acquisition of U.S. Energy’s compressed natural gas stations, Love’s is simultaneously expanding its alternative energy network, too. With 44 public and private CNG stations, the deal significantly grew the company’s network across 15 states and Canada, said Ryan Erickson, VP of Love’s alternative energy, in a release.
“We have recently seen an increased interest in CNG as a clean alternative fuel from both our private sector fleet and trucking customers,” he said.
