Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores opened its 600th store Thursday, more than all but 13 other convenience-store retailers in the U.S.
The store is located in Perry, Oklahoma — about 64 miles north of Love’s headquarters of Oklahoma City — and is the company’s 81st location in the Sooner State. It is open 24/7 and fills more than 12,000 square-feet of space.
In the forecourt, amenities include 60 truck parking spaces; 65 car parking spaces; six RV hookups; six diesel bays; an RV dump station; five showers; laundry facilities; a dog park; and more.
Inside the store, Love’s is offering bean-to-cup coffee; brand-name snacks; and food from its Fresh Kitchen concept, ranging from breakfast tacos and burgers to wraps and salads. The store will also have an Arby's restaurant attached.
The new store is expected to bring 70 jobs, Love’s said in its announcement. The company is donating $15,000 to the Oklahoma Lions Service Foundation to celebrate the grand opening.
This continues a busy year of new builds for Love’s, which has opened 19 Love’s Travel Stops — including number 600 — and 15 Speedco locations so far in 2022. Besides its new locations, Love’s also started adding RV hookups and Amazon lockers at various locations this year. The company also recently opened its first RV park in Cordele, Georgia.
