Gale King, a retired insurance executive serving on J.B. Hunt’s board of directors, will leave the board when her term ends this spring.
In a securities SEC filing, King cited personal reasons for her decision for not seeking another term on the carrier’s board, a post she has held since 2020. King will finish her current term as a member of the board’s executive compensation and corporate governance committees.
A company spokesman said plans for its board will be revealed at its annual shareholders meeting later this year. The company expects to release details of its annual shareholders meeting sometime in March.
King retired in July 2021 as EVP and chief administrative officer of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co., according to an SEC filing. She was re-elected to a one-year term on J.B. Hunt’s board during the company’s annual shareholders meeting in April 2022.
The board currently consists of 11 members, and it must have at least three but no more than 12.
