FST Logistics has acquired Dancer Logistics, according to an Aug. 1 press release.
The purchase enhances FST’s warehousing, transportation and logistics capabilities and also improves its Midwest presence, a company spokesperson told Trucking Dive in an email. Dancer’s fleet of 52 tractors and 101 trailers will grow FST’s fleet to 192 tractors and 521 trailers, the spokesperson said.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition follows Dublin, Ohio-based FST’s purchase of Hyway Trucking in October 2023.
Dancer Logistics will retain its name, the spokesperson said. The carrier, which is headquartered in Delphos, Ohio, specializes in general and refrigerated freight and employs 59 drivers, according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
FST, an employee-owned third-party logistics provider, anticipates integrating the businesses will lead to operational cost savings and efficiencies. It also allows FST to expand its customer base and extend dry van and refrigerated logistics services nationally, FST Chairman and CEO Matt Hartman said in the announcement.
"With the addition of Dancer Logistics and its asset-based, temp-controlled truckload model, we are now uniquely positioned to continue the expansion of our temp-controlled transportation services throughout the US, offering unparalleled transportation and logistics full-service solutions to our customers,” he said.
