The compensation chair of Forward Air’s board of directors resigned from the role this week, the beleaguered LTL carrier announced in a securities filing.
Craig Carlock, COO of the Carroll Companies, had served as Forward’s lead independent director from 2019 until February, according to the company.
Carlock’s departure is effective Oct. 15, the filing said.
The director’s resignation from the Greeneville, Tennessee-based carrier’s board follows former CEVA Logistics President Shawn Stewart’s hire as CEO and the permanent appointment of former Yellow Corp. executive Jamie Pierson as CFO.
Forward has struggled since its messy acquisition last year of Omni Logistics, which it tried to walk away from before the deal closed.
Carlock’s open board seat was quickly filled by a former colleague of Stewart’s from CEVA Logistics.
Jérôme Lorrain was CEVA’s former COO and is currently a director of Log-Hub, a supply chain optimization provider, and executive chairman of FluentCargo, a routing solutions provider.
Lorrain was appointed to the board’s compensation committee, the company announced in an Oct. 25 filing.
Editor’s note: This story has been updated to include Lorrain’s appointment to the compensation committee.
