C.H. Robinson has tapped Ford executive Dave Bozeman as its next CEO.
Bozeman, who most recently served as vice president of Ford’s customer service division, will start his new role June 26, the company announced Tuesday.
Scott Anderson, who had been serving as interim CEO since January, will continue in the role until Bozeman comes onboard. Anderson will remain on the company’s board.
C.H. Robinson has been searching for a new CEO since Jan. 1 following the involuntary termination of Bob Biesterfeld, who had served in the role since 2019.
Bozeman will receive a $1 million base salary, as well as a one-time $5 million signing bonus, according to a regulatory filing. The incoming CEO is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus of 150% of his annualized base salary, with a maximum of 300% of his annualized based salary.
His compensation also includes $6.5 million in stock options, according to the company filing.
C.H. Robinson Board Chair Jodee Kozlak praised Bozeman’s expertise in global supply chain and logistics management in a statement.
“Dave is the right leader to take C.H. Robinson’s vision forward with his focus on organizational opportunity and enhancing value for our customers and our shareholders by capitalizing on C.H. Robinson’s opportunities as a leading asset-light logistics provider in a rapidly-evolving and increasingly complex supply chain environment,” Kozlak said.
Bozeman brings more than 30 years of executive-level experience with companies including Ford, Amazon, Caterpillar and Harley-Davidson. He most recently served as vice president of Ford’s customer service division and vice president of enthusiast vehicles for Ford Blue of Ford Motor Co.
During his time with Amazon, Bozeman served as vice president of transportation services, where he led supply chain optimization for customer delivery across the company’s global operations and was instrumental in scaling its middle mile global transportation business, according to the C.H. Robinson announcement.
Bozeman said in a statement he’s looking forward to leading the company’s next chapter.
“I am confident that with C.H. Robinson’s superior global services, people and capabilities, we will build on a strong existing foundation and execute on significant growth opportunities to create lasting value for Robinson shareholders, employees and the communities and customers we serve,” Bozeman said.
