Accurate Transport, a New Jersey-based drayage, LTL, flatbed and intermodal provider, opened its newest terminal in Houston, the company announced this month.
The facility began operations in late August.
Accurate’s presence in Houston reflects a commitment to the Texas market and will support terminals in Boston and Virginia as the company expands its service area across the entire Northeast region by the end of the year.
Port Houston was the nation’s fifth busiest port based on container volume in 2022. Drayage volume at the port has experienced 15% YoY growth, according to Accurate.
Container volumes at the port have fallen recently, however. The port reported a 20% YoY drop in August, its steepest decline of the year.
Accurate’s Houston terminal is located near major highways and logistics hubs, as well as George Bush Intercontinental Airport in the city.
"This new facility supports our growth in Texas and the region and enables us to better serve our customers with faster, more responsive and dedicated delivery and supply chain solutions,” COO Brett Demmers said in a statement.
