Iowa-based for-hire carrier 10 Roads Express recently promoted Tom Crimmins to CEO, according to a June 6 emailed press release.
Prior to his new position, Crimmins served as COO at the company for the past six years, according to a press release. He succeeds founder Wayne Hoovestol, who will remain with the company as president and board chairman. The company did not specify when Crimmins assumed his new role.
Great Lakes Regional Manager Rico Prestia will be taking over Crimmins’ former role as COO.
The carrier, which employs 5,000 drivers, has provided transport services for the U.S. Postal Service as well as other commercial products for more than 45 years. 10 Roads Express operates 36 terminals served by more than 3,500 company-owned tractors and 5,000 trailers, according to the company’s website.
